XLamp XM-L2 EasyWhite

First LED of its size to enable color-consistent 50-W halogen performance

The XLamp® XM-L2 EasyWhite® LED delivers more than 1,100 lm of color-consistent light from a 5mm x 5mm package and enables a 38% gain in light output and efficacy as a drop-in upgrade to the first-generation XM-L EasyWhite LED. The new LED is built on Cree’s EasyWhite technology — combining the industry’s tightest color binning, intense light output from a single LED and high-voltage options — to best optimize it to replace halogen technology. When compared to previous EasyWhite LEDs, the XLamp XM-L2 EasyWhite LED shrinks the size of the LED required to achieve 50-watt halogen equivalence by 70 percent, reducing system size and lowering cost.
